Mermaid Classic Run 2024 Regulations | ||
Personal Invitation Mablethorpe and District Motor Club will organise the Mermaid Classic Car Run on Sunday 7th July 2024. The event will be held under the General Regulations of Motorsport UK (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these supplementary regulations and any other instructions the organising club may issue for the event. This event will run as a Touring Car Assembly. MSA Permit No. (Applied for). This event is open to all historic, vintage, classic and ‘modern classic’ cars. The event will start from Langrick Bridge PE227AH, where tea/coffee will be provided with your entry fee. Petrol is available in Conningsby, Boston, and at places along the way. The finish venue is TBC, where refreshments will be laid on. You will also receive a commemorative ‘Classic’ Rally Plate as a memento of the event. This is included in the entry fee. The route will be about 100 miles taking in rural country roads. A descriptive roadbook will be provided at the start with points of interest marked. Cars will start at 1-minute intervals, with the first car leaving at 10.30am. There will be an hour long break for lunch at half way. Picnics are welcome and there will be toilets and refreshments for you to purchase should you prefer. Signing On. This will take place at the start venue from 09.30am onwards. All crews to have completed signing on by 10am Entries. The entry list opens with the publication of these regulations and closes on Friday 5th July. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. Maximum number of entries is 50 and Mablethorpe and District Motor Club reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum entry of 15 cars is not achieved. The entry fee is £30 this includes roadbook, commemorative ‘Classic’ Rally Plate, tea/coffee at the start and tea/coffee and homemade cakes at the finish for 1 driver and 1 passenger. Additional passengers will be charged at £10. Please make cheques payable to ‘Mablethorpe & District Motor Club’ About the Motor Club Mablethorpe and District Motor Club were founded in 1957 and have been growing since then to the club that they are today. With over 50 members, most of them active in some way or another, competing, organising or marshalling, they continue to provide motorsport fun for all. There is now a growing classic section to the motor club whilst Motorsport activities include PCT’s, 12 car’s, stage events and road events as well as the social aspect including a club barbecue and treasure hunt, Scalextric nights and more. |
