Mablethorpe & DMC

Mablethorpe and District Motor Club were founded in 1957 and have been growing since then to the club that they are today.  With over 50 members, most of them active in some way or another, competing, organising or marshalling, they continue to provide motorsport fun for all.  There is now a classic section to the motor club. Motorsport activities include PCT’s, 12 car’s, stage events and road events as well as the social aspect including a club barbecue and treasure hunt, scalectrix nights and more.

Lincs Louth MC


Lincs Louth Motor Club is the most active Classic Car club in Lincolnshire, organising both static events and classic runs, as well as a lot of members competing on their own events and ones further afield.  Founded in 1900 they have been going for over a century and they continue to provide entertainment for all, not just classic car members.  They have a healthy rally side to the club, with various members competing in PCT’s, 12 cars, stage and road rallying as well as organising 12 cars.

2014 Mermaid
Classic Run


Announcement
Mablethorpe and District Motor Club (assisted by Lincs Louth Motor Club) will organise the Mermaid Classic Run on Sunday 3rd
August 2014. The event will be held under the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these supplementary regulations and any other instructions the organising club may issue for the event.

Permit

This event will run as a Touring Car Assembly. Permit No. 83389

Eligibility

This event is open to all vintage, classic and ‘modern classic’ cars.

Start Venue

The start venue has been provided at Goltho Gardens, Wragby where tea/coffee will be provided within your entry fee. Fuel is available from several stations within a 10 mile radius.  Please contact the organisers for locations.

Finish Venue

The event will finish at The Willows Garden Centre, Glentham where tea/coffee and cakes will be provided for your refreshment.  

Route

The route shall be about 120 miles taking in rural surfaced roads and inspired by Lincolnshire’s beautiful surroundings.
A descriptive roadbook will be provided at the start with points of interest marked within.  If you wish to bring your OS maps (not necessary) then maps 113, 121 and 122 will be used.  Cars will start at 1 minute intervals with the first car leaving at 10.30am.  There will be an hour long break at half way. Refreshments will be available for you to purchase should you wish to.

Signing On
This will take place at the start venue from 09.15am onwards and all crews need to be signed on by 10am.

Entries

The entry list opens with the publication of these regulations and closes on Sunday 3rd
August 2014. Entries shall be accepted in order of receipt. Maximum number of entries is 50 and Mablethorpe and District Motor Club reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum entry of 15 cars is not achieved.

On receipt, your entry will be acknowledged by post or email.

The entry fee is £23.  
This includes informative roadbook, commemorative ‘Classic’ Rally Plate, tea/coffee at the start and tea/coffee and cakes at the finish for 1 driver and 1 passenger. Additional passengers cost £5 each.

We also have the facility to accept BACs payments for entry fee’s.  The bank details are below and you can send the entry form to rhiannon.blythe@yahoo.co.uk
